Dezor addresses the evolving needs of modern internet users who require a more integrated and feature-rich browsing experience. The core challenge was to develop a cross-platform media browser that goes beyond the limitations of traditional browsers, providing built-in VPN and ad-blocking functionalities. We aimed to create a seamless and secure environment for accessing and consuming online media, optimized for both React Native mobile applications and web platforms. The project identified the need for a browser that prioritizes user privacy, security, and efficient media handling in a world where these aspects are often overlooked or require third-party extensions.

Our solution involved building Dezor from the ground up as a media-centric browser leveraging React and React Native. We prioritized a clean and intuitive user interface, focusing on ease of navigation and content discovery. The integrated VPN and ad-blocking features were designed to be seamless and unobtrusive, protecting users without hindering their browsing experience. We employed a modular architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability, allowing for the future addition of new features and enhancements. A key aspect of our approach was creating a unified codebase that could be adapted for both web and mobile platforms, minimizing redundancy and maximizing code reuse.

Dezor is built using a modern technology stack centered around React and React Native. The web version utilizes React with Remix for server-side rendering and routing, ensuring optimal performance and SEO. The React Native version allows for a native-like experience on iOS and Android devices. Key technical aspects include:
